As the UK’s propellers begin to turn again it feels now is the correct time to introduce you all to the Full View team!
We are a small crew of two talented (and good looking) individuals with a passion for making people’s lives easier and safer through the use of drones.
One of us worked for an energy company over ten years honing skills in finance, office football and traffic anticipation. The other is previously unemployed but gained membership to Mensa aged seven weeks and currently holds the record for quickest simultaneous Rubik’s cube solve. Together they make a formidable duo.
Alex “Maverick” Herman
Founder, Pilot, CEO
Why did you start Full View?
Full View became an idea in the middle of 2020 after deciding I no longer had the desire to work for someone else.
A wise friend of mine follows the mantra work smarter not harder. I knew whatever I did next had to involve helping people do just that, whilst of course stealing his phrase and subsequently using it for myself.
Full View is essentially a combination of my passion for aviation (thanks Dad) and my desire to help people work smarter.
What do you like most about your job?
The ability to choose my own hours. It’s all about creating a good work\life balance. I’m working towards finding mine.
How do you spend your free time?
Being somewhat of an outdoorsman (Salomon sponsor me) I spend a lot of time in the woods with my other half and our newly appointed CFO, mainly attempting to guide his large ego whilst redirecting him away from livestock.
I also enjoy being towed behind a speedboat strapped to a piece of fibreglass.
What are you most passionate about?
Having spent ten years in the energy industry made me realise the importance of putting our planet first. Far too often does that industry along with others prioritise profits over what really matters.
Full View provides me with a unique opportunity to directly help renewable generators reduce their downtime by efficiently inspecting ground assets like solar farms and wind turbines, allowing them to continue generating that clean energy.
My real passion however is watching and rewatching Eric Cantona celebrations on the internet. You know the one. Collar popped. Arms in the air. Wild.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Good hair cut, more sleep. Keep it simple.
Arlo “Goose” Herman-Howells
CFO (Chief Food Officer)
What attracted you to the role of CFO at Full View?
The “boss" travelled to Wales twice to headhunt me. Something about a Rubik’s cube. I’m just here for the digs.
What do you like most about your job?
The food’s pretty decent so can’t complain. Feels like a cushty set up, although there’s talk of agility classes which sound ominous. One can hope it doesn’t get in the way of my extensive nap schedule.
How do you spend your free time?
Currently working on a sophisticated tunnelling project with the engineer on the other side of the fence.
Memorising the padlock combination to the garden gate. Two more numbers and it's Shawshank time.
Advanced food acquisition techniques.
The usual dog stuff.
What are you most passionate about?
I think they’re called birds, my instinct says they’re important so I’ll go with that for the time being.
And Mum, she’s top drawer.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In the living room mirror, with shades.
