What Our Drone Surveys Do For Your Warehouse
Warehouse roofs are constantly exposed to the elements, making them vulnerable to gradual wear and hidden damage. Without regular inspections, small issues like minor leaks can quickly escalate into costly repairs, operational disruption, and even damage to stock or equipment.
Our routine industrial roof surveys give warehouse managers a proactive way to stay in control. By identifying problems early, you can plan maintenance more effectively, avoid expensive emergency call-outs, and extend the lifespan of your roof. This is especially important for large-scale warehouse buildings, where issues can go unnoticed for long periods due to the structure's size and inaccessibility.
A warehouse survey from Full View is also valuable for:
-
Protecting inventory and other commercial assets from water ingress
-
Maintaining energy efficiency by detecting areas of heat loss or poor insulation
-
Supporting insurance and compliance requirements with documented inspections
-
Reducing long-term maintenance costs through preventative action
How Our Warehouse Roof Surveys Work
Pre-Survey Planning
We begin with a consultation to understand your building and any areas of concern. This lets us plan the drone flight path and ensure minimal disruption to your warehouse operations.
Aerial Inspection
Our trained drone pilots deploy DJI drones equipped with high-resolution cameras and thermal sensors to capture every part of your roof. This allows us to inspect hard-to-reach areas safely, without the need for expensive scaffolding.
Data Analysis
All visual and thermal data is carefully reviewed to identify leaks, trapped moisture, insulation issues, structural faults, and other potential problems before they become costly.
Report Delivery
You’ll receive an actionable report with annotated images - usually within 72 hours - so you can easily plan maintenance, repairs, or other preventative measures.
Easy-To-Read Warehouse Survey Reports
Our reports provide a complete overview of your warehouse roof, highlighting any leaks, insulation gaps, moisture ingress, or structural issues. Each report includes high-resolution images, annotated findings, and clear recommendations so you can plan maintenance or repairs with confidence.
Check out our example report below, or get in touch and we’ll provide the information you need to make an informed decision.
Additional Surveys & Outputs
At Full View, we specialise in comprehensive commercial roof surveys designed for warehouse owners who need clear, detailed reporting. Our inspections go beyond the basics, with optional enhanced reporting features that provide deeper insight into your roof’s condition and performance.

Solar Panel Surveys
We can detect faulty panels and hotspots with thermal imaging, so your rooftop PV array performs reliably and safely - ideal for maximising output and planning targeted repairs or cleaning.
Good for:
- Reducing energy losses and improving ROI on solar investments
- Identifying issues early before they impact performance or safety
- Planning cost-effective maintenance or cleaning schedules

Construction Progress Monitoring
If more warehouses are in development, we can help by capturing scheduled aerial progress checks, keeping project stakeholders informed without interrupting warehouse operations.
Good for:
- Keeping investors and contractors aligned
- Tracking project progress and spotting delays early
- Creating a visual record for reporting and compliance

2D Orthomosaic Mapping
By combining thousands of high-resolution aerial images, we create a 2D orthomosaic map of your warehouse roof, giving you a Google Maps-like view (but in far greater detail).
Good for:
- Getting a measurable overview of large or complex roofs
- Supporting maintenance planning and contractor briefings
- Providing accurate visual documentation for insurance or asset management

3D Models (Digital Twins)
We’re able to deliver a precise 3D model of your roof for virtual inspections and long-term maintenance planning, offering a more immersive experience than standard annotated imagery.
Good for:
- Visualising problem areas in context before repairs
- Long-term asset management and future project planning
Testimonials
“I’ve worked with Alex from Full View on several drone roof surveys across London over the past couple of years and he has consistently provided an excellent service. A few of the sites were in particularly built-up areas with very limited space for drone navigation, but Alex handled everything with confidence and precision. He takes care of all the necessary permits and permissions, which makes the process completely hassle-free."
“The way he organises and transfers the photos into clearly labelled files makes it far easier to share visuals with clients and incorporate them into our reports. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him for any drone survey work, especially in complex or restricted environments."
“I recently had a roof inspection carried out by Alex at Full View Limited. The level of service and quality of work was excellent and the time taken was so quick in comparison to having to have scaffolding erected so that a survey could be done. The images and reporting were amazing and any work that was required was so clearly defined. The result being that any contractor I employ can see immediately what has to be done. I would not hesitate to recommend Full View Limited for such professional and competent work carried out.”
“We have worked with Full View on a number of our projects. They have provided us with multiple services, including field mapping, stills to aid planning proposals and drone photography. The quality of the work is exceptional and is always delivered quickly and efficiently. Alex goes above and beyond to provide clear, reliable and accessible data. We cannot recommend Full View highly enough.”

FAQs
Do you need access inside the building?
In the majority of cases, no. External thermal and visual imaging collected by our drones can identify most issues, saving time and any potential disruption to your operations.
We also offer interior inspections that help identify where issues are pervading inside. This can be done either manually or with drone imagery.
How much does a warehouse roof survey cost?
Warehouse roof surveys typically start from around £700, with the final cost depending on the size, complexity, and layout of your building.
Large warehouses with simple, flat roofs are quicker to survey and therefore more cost-effective, but significantly larger Amazon-style centres or facilities with multiple roof sections may take longer (and therefore be more expensive).
How long does a typical survey take?
The duration of our surveys depends on the size and complexity of your warehouse’s roof, much like the price. Smaller distribution centres may take a few hours, whereas larger warehouses can take anywhere from half a day to multiple days.
Once the survey is completed, we’ll usually have the report completed within just 72 hours, although we can sometimes produce this even faster.
Do you offer thermal drone surveys for warehouse inspections?
Yes, we offer thermal drone inspections as part of your property’s roof survey, should you ask for this (or we deem it necessary). Our drone’s thermal capabilities can spot hidden areas of heat loss that the naked eye cannot spot, potentially saving you thousands if spotted early.
What common issues do your surveys look for?
Our warehouse roof surveys identify both visible and hidden problems before they become costly. Common issues we detect include:
- Water leaks and moisture ingress
- Insulation gaps and heat loss
- Structural faults (e.g. roof sagging)
- Rooflight and vent defects
- Blocked or damaged gutters
- Solar panel hotspots
